KIDS, DON"T MISS OUT!!! Jet 8 Essay!!

Mom and Dads a kid is going to win this contest!! Get yours involved. I do not care what breed they hunt at all. It is a simple QUESTION about Jet 8. Some young kid is going to win $3,500.oo in a check written from me to them. In October of coonhound bloodlines issue on page 167 is the QUESTION they have to answer. Its that simple!!! In addition,$1000.00 to UKC to spend for all of us so that we can enjoy free-casting our hounds, and $500.00 will go to Akrons Childrens Hospital in Akron, Oh. in the winners name. I know that there is conflict among breeds and what everyone likes to hunt. But here is a real gift to some kid and us that can do our sport good. Contest ends Jan 31, 2007. I ownly recieved 52 essays to date!!! KIDS are better than this!!! LET THEM KNOW!!! FORGET ABOUT COLOR AND TELL THE KIDS!!! OUR FUTURE TO OUR OWN SPORT!!! Thanks Danny G. Danny, we don't take the bloodlines. Do you have to for the kid to enter? I have an 8 year old boy that would like to but we dont know the question nor do we know if he is eligible? If he is, could you please post the question and any other info he may need such as mailing adress etc. ? Thanks, and I want you to know, what you are doing is appreciated!

for bringing this to our attention, I do recall telling Whitney about it when we got the CB, but it slipped our minds. I'll make sure she gets it out today.
Whitney hunts with her dad, and to my astonishment (knowing that not too many girls coonhunt), she not only enjoys it but she also knows those hounds and understands them. She gets in there with the guys, handles the hounds, has the scars to show for it, and is proud of every one.
Whit shows our hounds also. Don't tell her I said this, but I'm thinking she's going to be hard to beat when she gets older. She shows in Youth Shows, but also in regular shows. Although alot of judges out there don't take the younger people seriously. That's too bad too, because our youth today, are in the "Winner's Circle" tomorrow.

The question was... "If you owned a dog like Jet 8, with all the hunts he has won, when would you retire him and why?"

Consider that he is the same breed that you prefer to hunt and own. Please use 500 words or less. Ages up to 18 on or before January 31,2007.

SHORTEN THE ESSAY

TIME WILL TELL HOW GREAT HE REALLY IS........ A SHORT TIME HAS PAST AND THE FUTURE HOLDS HIS EXTENDED POPULARITY. HOWEVER THIS IS VERY GENEROUS OF DANNY TO DO THIS FOR YOUJNSTERS............HOWEVER DOES A YOUNG DAUGHTER/SON HAVE TO BE THE CHILD OF A COON HUNTER TO WRITE THIS ESSAY ? THERE ARE A LOT OF KIDS THAT CAN WRITE AN ESSAY AND JUST MIGHT NOT HAVE EVER BEEN COON HUNTING.

You bring up good point in your post, however I do think that todays youth that are involved with our coonhunting sport knows more and are alot more familier in what this essay is all about. This was not meant to hurt any other kids feelings at all, just thought it could be better answered by coonhunting kids that know what the sport is about. Believe me I have got some GREAT essay replies. To other post Jet 8 will be 4 yrs. old on March 25, 2007! Thanks Danny G.

This is the most outrageous case of adult discrimination I've ever seen or heard of!! Sure, penalize me because of when I was born. I could use some cash too you know! Somewhere out there, there's got to be a special interest group that will stick up for us age challenged individuals! What next? ..ohhh the humanity of it all!

LOL..just kidding. Thats a great thing you're doing for the kids. I hope we get to see the winning essay, and the photo of the author!

Recieved these to essays this week and I will say this. They were both outstanding in my book. GREAT job to both of you. I is a shame that there can only be one winner because I have recieved some good essays from all. I enjoy just sitting down and reading them. These 2 of corse I read over and over to make sure I had my thoughts right. Thanks from both of you and I CAN'T WAIT to see the smile and tears of joy on the winners face when that person is known!!!!! Thanks Danny G. PS!!! I was amazed at the way both of you started with your thoughts and also they way you ended them. GREEEEEEEAT!!!
