!! A sad day at County Line Kennel !!

It brings me much sorrow to announce to the coonhound world. Christina found Terrible Tuesday dead in her kennel this morning. This happened sudden and unexpected. Tuesday will be sorely missed by many. She was a super reproducer of TOP showdogs and good coondogs. Tuesday was Christina's baby and the foundation of our Plott Kennel. If there is a place in Heaven for dogs, i am sure that Tuesday will be an Angel. Thanks to all who support us and our dogs. Jeff & Christina Farthing

Sorry to hear about your loss as well.

As much a walker man as I am, your plotts have made me take a second glance at changing breeds if I ever did.
Keep up the great work.

Talk about a swift kick in the gut...that was my reaction. I got all choked up and am tearing up a bit writing this. My first ever attempt at getting a dog to stack on the ground was with Tuesday. Christina trusted me enough to take her to my home and work with her for about a week before she took her to the Premier the first time she ever attended several years ago. Tuesday was SO SMART and caught on so quick, even with my uneducated attempts. She did Christina so proud.

I was fortunate to handle her a few times for Christina and what wonderful opportunities those were... she was one of the easy ones we all wish we had one like. Course no matter how much Tuesday might have liked me, she was definitely Christina's dog... always looking for her on the sidelines or turning around if she heard CHristina's voice.

I've also got to share a bit about the night we hunted her and my young English dog I had called Kody back in 97 or 98. We were hunting with Darrell Hall, one of our good friends. Tuesday and Kody went deep with the other dog down this holler in Madison county and it got rough going. Wouldn't you know it they were treed next to a little creek right at the very bottom? Then, it started raining. Tuesday hadn't been hunted very much, but you should have heard her hit that tree. It was summer so we didn't knock it out, but Christina could hear her tree back where she was at the top of the hill and I can tell you she was smiling. It was a good night. People want to talk about show dogs having the hunt bred out of them, but I can tell you Tuesday was definitely capable of running and treeing coon AND reproducing dog that did as well.

It is my hope that Tuesday is remembered for that along with her accomplishments on the bench and her ability to reproduce nice dogs.

Christina does have some wonderful dogs out of Tuesday to carry on, but I know Terrible Tuesday will be missed.

Thanks,
Penny
