Snow

Joe, I ran into Snow on my Elk hunt in Montana, it started snowing on the 13 th of September, and didn't quit until the 16 th. We are lucky if we even see snow around this part of NC, must be nice to have some cold weather.

I've got a 12 year old who's never even seen snow. If it snowed down here my dogs would probably go hide under the house. Might think that the sky was falling.

My daughter is 4 and has never seen a good snow. I hope we get ALOT this year, I'm ready for it.
Its supposed to frost here tonight, we'll see. Its only 50 right now. Not supposed to get much warmer all day.

Todd,

How could ya be thinking of ice fishing???? Didn't ya say ya knew where a big ole boy was living?

The trees are snow covered here. It is a little strange to look at the reds, yellows, and oranges blanketed in white.

Last time we got snow was 1992......................

All this talk of snow in Michigan is getting me pumped up. I am heading North to there in 4 days. I know the snow will be gone by then, but still the weather should be perfect to trail along on a few days of bear hunting and to see if we can get any of those monster coons treed. My poor southern dogs are probably going to be in shock when they get there though. lol

Oneof the funnest days of the year for me having grown up in the North and now living in MO is to go out on the first real snow fall of the year to watch the Southerns try and drive in it!!!!!!!!!

LOL it is like watching a monkey with a cocconut! Here is a hint for all you southerners. Giving it more gas is not the answer!

They will close school here for 6-8 inches of snow for a week, back home 18 inches might do the trick!

Posted by Shaun Paton on 10-12-2006 11:58 PM:

snow

We had around four inches this morning up here. I'm taking a coonhound for a hunt tonight, and then come home and load up the coyote hounds and look for a track. It's 6:55 pm and snowing hard right now. I'll have some fun one way or another tonight. My son took his Mt. Cur out when he got home from college this afternoon and killed his limit of Squirrels, so the game is moving.
