Sad News

Lance and I lost our best little hunter this morning. Nina is our rat terrier. She's always believed she was a bluetick. She started having difficulty breathing and stopped eating. The vet found an infection and possible tumor in her chest. He put her on meds Monday. She died this morning. She will surely be missed here. She loved to hunt!! Amy

Thanks everyone. She was a great little dog. She would fight the biggest boar coon we could shoot out to her. She also hunted squirrels, possum, and rabbits. I've even seen her climb trees after game. We're going to miss her something terrible. Amy

Sorry about that. I know how easy it is to get attached to dogs especially little ones. I got a little fiest myself. She goes everywhere with me. I sure hate to hear that.

Dang that is sad. Hey, she lived the good life while she was with you ! Maybe she'll find a good blue on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge to hang out with until you and her are reunited.

Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts. It seems like lately we have been on a loosing streak. Gal, she was only three years old. I'm going to bury her in the woods beside our new house. There are tons of squirrels there and she would have liked chasing them. Amy

Thats too bad...

Sorry to hear about your loss. Its hard to say goodbye to animals after a while. They truley are a part of our families...

Did the vet say he had some sort of lung infection? My mom had a little cur/terrier mix that got a lung infection that cats usually get and died about the same way. He was in the vets office for a couple of days on an IV drip, but it didn't help too much. Our vet said it was very unusual for a dog to get this particular infection, but he got it.

Don't worry, after some time grieving you will find another little dog to fill your heart and house with. I'm not saying it will ever take the place of the one you lost, you will just have a new place all ready for it.
