Our event
has never been represented as a TSCHA event.
This is our Texas King and Queen Championship hosted by the Panola County CHA.
Hey J. Wigley - there won't be any "Genetic Mud" dogs participating - just UKC registered representitives of the recognized coonhound breeds.

Jim, I guess that means thay wont take a single reg. dog entry.I guess those dogs will just have to "follow" someone somewhere else to hunt.

Bud...good job on the posting of the winners at this year's State Hunt. Don't know why Mr. Wigley had a hard time finding the site. It's all there.
I clicked on the link he posted and it says not found.

No not yet LMBO!! But in my day I have followed some of those dogs she calls mud and treed many many coons.BTW I was just kidding Richard a little. He has a single reg, dog that I have heard is a real coon dog. Have you ever heard of a Walker dog named
" Gangsta Rap" He was the PKC Texas state Champ last year
I believe. He was sing. Reg. but he didn't know it. LOL.He belonged to a man in Dallas. Oh!! and if papers made coon hounds I would have owned several world champs in my time. Not

Now LISTEN, there's nothing wrong with a little MUDDY WATER.
Since you TEXICANS are talking about GENETIC MUD, I'll tell you about hunting down in your neck of the woods back in the mid 60's with alot of that GENETIC MUD. There was an older GENTELMAN named K.K. Compton, that lived just north of Hardin, Tx. & he had 2 female's. One was 1/2 Walker & 1/2 Plott, the other one was a crossed up Bluetick. I had two SINGLE REG. English males. One was Redtick in color, but was 1/2 English & 1/2 Bluetick, the other one was a dark Bluetick, not even brown dots over his eyes. I didn't know his background, because he came from around West Point, Mississippi with the Single Reg. papers on him.
Most of the hunting took place in the Trinity River Bottoms. We kept a record for a 2 month period, hunting 3-4 nights a week. We AVERAGED treeing & seeing 8.2 coons a night for that 2 month period. There were several nights that all 4 dogs would be treed on separate tree's. I remember one night that they were all treed on separate tree's in a Pecan Grove, & we could see all 4 dog's & all 4 coons, by standing in one spot.
So you see, I have nothing agains't MUDDING UP THE WATERS, AS LONG AS YOU KEEP TRACK OF IT.
John

Hey John you just said the key phrase.( as long as you keep track of it.) I think there is a lot to be gained by cross breeding between 2 coon hound breeds. But they should be reg. in order to keep track of it.I can't understand why some people is against reg. cross breeds but think its ok to single reg. a dog just because it looks like it is a certain breed. It is a know fact some of them are not.I guess it is maybe a sign of the times, when many people choose to live in a world of make believe. Aww heck I should delete this post now. It will probly just start another long debate.
BTW John where you been? Haven't heard from you in a while. I know you must be one tuff dude. If you play football against Billy Ray Smith and still have enough left to coon hunt in the Trinity River Bottoms. Well LMBO
Good morning John.

J. Wigley,
This ole puter was down for awhile, & I didn't even try to get it back up & running for several months. I didn't really miss it that much either.
Had enough work to do around here, & trying to get this young female going. I was thinking about putting her out of her misery along about March & April, then one night she went with the old dog & ran & treed like she had been doing it all along.
She has split treed several times & had the meat, & she's turning into a RADICAL TREE DOG. Jumping, circling the tree, chewing, about every thing that I don't like to see in a coonhound, except fighting. She's about as timid, as any dog I've ever had, except around the tree.
Well I wonder how Richard fared at the Hunt???? Good I hope.
Last but not least, I must say that you CLEAN UP PRETTY GOOD, FOR A COONHUNTING TEXICAN.

Would you mind telling me exactly what don't work about the Texas State CHA's web site "www.tscha.org" so we can have it fixed. Are you unable to get on it or are you having trouble navigating within it once you get on it? Your help would be appreciated as others might be having the same problem you are having.
