Dan that's a nice cattle dog. Is it an Aussie? The smartest dog we ever had was a male Australian Shepherd. He was so smart it was scary. Amy

heck Tub is a catahula cur / aussie mix ! I have had Blue Heelers and Aussies for house / truck/ stock dogs for many years and your are right they are the smartest loyal dogs going. so is this guy..... for a rescue mutt. got a tri red ausie that is teaching him the ropes, but he is a natural, specially with flashing that eye to the cuties in the drive thru's. gets him alot of free slimjims and pepperoni ! Should of got him 25 years ago !!!!

Ours was a big Red Merle male named Rusty. He would work cows, goats, and even catch free-range chickens (without hurting them). He taught himself to unscrew the top off my sister's catfood container. LOL. You just had to point to whatever you wanted and he did it. He could herd, cut our calves- anything. I've seen him fight a bull to keep him away from getting me. AMAZING!!! dog.

i actually use the idea u got there...figured it out back about 2 years ago while feedin' my chickens when i accidentally stepped on my feed scoop and crushed it and needed one right then...works great...i started with the design u have, but i later improved it by making it more rounded so it works better and holds a little more...
