Tracking System question.

I have a TRX3S on a Marshall antenna that will work like a charm within 100 yards of the collar. But get a half mile away and it's like there is no signal at all, untill i put my finger on the the apparatus that the cable plugs into like this then it works great. Is there something missing or could something be wrong?

Have you tried a differnt antenna, find sombody that has a tracking system try his antenna see if that fixes the problem..

I think you have a problem with the cable that runs from the tracker to the antenna.

...

sounds like u have a problem with the grounding...like K. Singletary said, u may have a problem with ur cable...if something is not working right and u can touch it and make it right, then its in the ground...so try another cable first....

i was on ebay looking at collars and came across a system with the same antenna that i have and there is a piece missing, that goes from the thing i have my finger on out and down to the rod that it is attached to.
