New Club in N.E.Iowa

There is a new UKC club in Decorah Iowa called the Upper Iowa Coonhunters Assoc. All kinds of hunters are welcome no matter what registry, breed, competition or pleasure. The Next meeting will be on the 9th of sept. at the Decorah Fox and Coon Club. We will be having a buddy hunt afterwards. Local hunters are encouraged to bring their kids along as we already have quite a few youth in the membership already. for more information please call Derek Oyloe @ 563- 380- 2702, Dan Houdek@ 563563-379-7451

wont have any UKC event till spring but we are gonna have a fellowship hunt this fall and everyone is welcome to attend, probably have some free food. would like to see a cur dog cast here too. No scorecard allowed on the fellowship hunt just go hunting and shoot the breeze. Post the exact date later on

Meeting will be saturday Oct. 14 @ 6:30pm. We will meet at the fox and coon club in decorah. clubhouse located at juction of 9 and 52 enterance to driveway is about 100 yds west on #9. We will have buddy hunt following. We will discuss FFA hide hunt, Fox and Coon hide hunt, and spring hunt.

I havn't sent out october newsletter yet. I have been really busy so I am a little behind. I should be getting them out on monday. But yes I do have you on my list and I will definitely send you one. the coonderby went pretty good considering the weather conditons I think we had 20 dogs. We will be having our anual meeting on jan. 13 at 7:00 pm. We will elect club officers and discuss a few topics for the upcoming year. Dave it isnt golf course hunting but for the most part its pretty good. We got some good timber mostly patches. We are also having a bench show April 14 along with the hunt. We are having the hunt at Chase The Adventure. This is a prime shooting club featured on the Outdoor Channel. I think if you wanted to shoot trap before the show and hunt you could. I will try to get the post for C.T.A. website to get prices. Its a nice place and are real fortunate to be able to have the hunt there.

not bad as long as it isn't like cactus hill down by spring green. that makes the dickeyville hill climb a piece of cake

Should be one Febuary 10th I think Dan already sent the cards, you should get one soon. If for some reason you dont it is gonna be at the Fox and Coon club in Decorah.
