Feeding Coon Meat???

Where I'm from a most guys hunt hogs. A lot of them say that they feed their catch dogs raw hog meat to put the taste in their mouths. I was just wondering if this would be a good or bad idea for a coondog. I know that every once in a while you let a dog wool a coon but is the raw meat a little too much? I was thinking that the biggest risk would be disease, but you could cook the meat I guess. Let us know what you think
