Cat feet is when the dog stands on its toes having tight feet without them spread out. Still confused, I believe the standards on the main website gives a more detailed description, maybe even a picture can't remember.
Forgot to tell you...
If you can, talk to the judge and see what kind he is. For instance, I show redbones and one judge that I talked to explained that I didn't win that show was because the back legs were too far back. Later I talked to another, and he said that was wrong. According to the American and National Redbone Clubs, the hind legs are supposed to be back more and the back sloped slightly down. That instead of the back being level with the thighs being straight up and down.
All depends on where you are and who you know most of the time.
Good luck with the bench!
As long as any dog meets the breed standards. You can make most dogs at least a show champion. If you go to enough of them..If you want to get into showing go to a show .Most show people will be happy to help you out.The bench show judge can look your dog over and tell you if has any faults or not.And show you how to set the dog up..All judges are not equal some are real good while other just make you shake your head on there picks.Your just paying for that judges opinion. We had a dog not to long ago. The first judge told us the dog would never make a show champion. The dog hasnt lost a show after that......LOL...

Feet
Make sure you learn the difference between "Cat Like Feet" and Knuckling Over.
Cat like are nice and tight. Knuckling over feet look like they are almost going to fall forward if they where up on their feet anymore.
Good Luck Showing!

Right now i got a big redbone, he is about 70-80 pounds if i had to guess. He is a dark red color. He is really calm and like i said i can put him in a stance all day without him moveing.
