I have....
I have, back in the eighties before the stock market crash and fur market bottom. I coonhunted with hounds and caught coon to train them. Times were hard for my family and i back then and i was a young man and didn't have any real skills to land a good paying job so i supplemented my income by trapping fox and bobcat. I of course caught a lot of coon to and they were bringing a good price back then. My target was Bobcat and fox though for they brought more. I have trapped a little on and off over the years but just to catch game to train my hounds or rid my yard of varmits. When the weather gets cooler I plan to catch some fox/coyote this fall.
Trapping
I'm trying to catch a coon to train my Walker pup. Any suggested baits?

anything sweet. If you put raw or fishy smelling food you will get other animals in your traps.
i use cans of cat food works great here in ohio
i trap coon muskrat and mice lol
Use some cool aid on a piece of bread. Grape, strawberry, and wild berry works the best. You wont get very many opossums at all, just coons.

LOL, I agree with the picture.
Honey buns are the only thing we have had any luck with that don't also catch possum, cats, small dogs, and skunk!
