$2.98 here. $61.00 to fill up today in truck, $54.00 to fill the car. Gas prices are killing this Country. The Iraqians should be so thankful that they give us oil for the next 6 years for $20.00 a barrel. Open the oil reserves and put fuel at $1.00 a gallon. We'd all be doing alot better by the time bush leaves. At least we can say he did one good thing anyway. 7 out of 10 people said the President was doing a sorry job. Thats a political disaster.

gas...

A while back on some sort of documentary, it stated that Middle East consumers only pay about 20 cents a gallon for gas... I filled up three vehicles the other day, and it was right at $150 for all three combined.. It's getting to the point to where you pay out the "a$$ for gas"...

People are gripin' and pointing fingers at who ever they feel like.

Yet, nobody wants to slow down on consumption.

Posted by rkenney on 07-27-2006 01:54 AM:

no blame?

If there's no one, or no certain entity or corporation responsible, then during the Gulf War, why did prices go up, and then go back down? Yes.. We are all responsible for consumption.. About the only ones not griping ARE THE ONES PROFITTING FROM EVERY CENT THAT GOES TOWARD THEIR PROFIT.. AND THE ONES PROFITTING, I WONDER HOW MUCH EFFORT THEY ARE PUTTING TOWARD "COMSUMPTION"??????

I think what every one needs to do is not to vote for a politician of any party who is currently in office. Republican or Democrat. Keep doing that every election and maybe someday they will get the hint and fix things instead of spending their time trying to make the other party look bad.

The only thing worse than having a republican in office is having a lying , immoral democrat as president. People want to complain how bad things are, yet they just keep on spending money on gas just as much as ever. Lets not blame the republicans when we all are at fault. The oil people know people are gonna keep buying it no matter how much they charge, so why shouldnt they jack up prices

skinner

you say gas prices are killing this country how about the rest of the world most countries are paying almost twice the price we pay if we don't pay the price for crude someone else will
wait till you see the price we pay for meat when they start raising the price on corn when that market goes up due to the increased use of corn for fuel

At least some Farmer will get it instead of some Texas Oil man or some Arab.

The Answer

Lets vote out any business man, and get someone in office who really knows what they are doing.

HILLARY/OPRA - we can then have a president that can really screw things up, and a VP who will help us cry but give away prizes to everyone in the audience of any of her speeches.

gas price

I have a buddy who drives truck for a fuel delivery place and he told me a couple days ago that here in indiana gas was going to be 4.00 a gallon by Labor day and 5.00 a gallon by the end of the year. He said the people that own the company he works for are the ones driving the price up and its been planned this way for months with the price increase. Its 3.09 a gallon right now.

I don't want to get drawn into the whole Democrat/ republican B.S. but would like to know why everyone keeps briging up how immoral Bill Clinton was. Cheney was hunting drunk with a woman that wasn't his wife and shot one of his friends. Is that MORAL?

Posted by Skinner on 07-27-2006 01:48 PM:

Yes its true that other countries pay alot more than we do. They are also on a different tax system than the USA. For instance say gas is 7.00 a gal. They are really are only paying 3.00 and the other 4.00 is tax money that goes to other things.....like free healthcare, build & maintain roads, etc etc. They dont have a 'income tax' program like we do.

So when you hear the statement 'Well some parts of the world are paying twice what we do'.....thats republican BS.

Also let me ask you this. Why is gas 3.00 a gal here and TWENTY CENTS A GALLON in Iraq?

For someone that might have an idea, I'd like to ask a question on fuel conservation. I deliver travel trailers for a living and pulled several down south to the hurricane victims. We delivered to Selma, Alabama/Purvis, Mississippi and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A few months ago, FEMA paid us again to pull the trailers out of Selma and take them to a military base in Blackstone, Virginia. A few weeks later, we pulled some out of Purvis, Mississippi and took them to Blackstone. Now we're pulling them out of Baton Rouge and taking them to Selma and we also just got a contract to pull some out of Florida and take them to Baton Rouge. These are all new trailers that have never been used and I can't understand why we keep just moving them around in a circle. The taxpayers are paying for every move and millions of gallons of fuel are being wasted. The government is behind all these moves. is it just to keep people working or to use up excess fuel? I don't know the answers but it's just plain stupid.

Depends on how you look at it. Clinton was doing a great job as prez. Hell he did such a good job he deserved a bj. I would have paid for a hooker myself for him.

Where the He!! do you get your news, the Democratic Underground. How can you even try to equate a hunting accident with adultery and lying to Congress under oath? The lady that was in the hunting party was a family friend of Cheney's and owned the ranch where they were hunting.

Oh, I almost forgot the whole Whitewater scandal that Clinton was involved in as well as the half dozen or so women that claim he sexually assaulted them. If you think he was a moral man you need some counseling.

Just what did Clinton do that made him such a great President, can you name anything?

I for one think he coasted through 8 years doing very little. Mainly just stuff like ignoring terroist, giving NK nuclear reactors, and setting the economy up for a recession with his tax and minimum wage increases.
