Bleeding ear

Anybody got any good remedies to stop a dogs ear from bleeding? It’s only a small nick, but man that thing is relentless. I’ve got it to stop several times, but he’ll shake his head and it’ll start right back. I’ve got his ear strapped to his head with some ace bandage with Vaseline and iodine on the ear for now, but I already know that’s not gonna last.

BFI foot powder is the best thing I ever used for cuts to stop the bleeding and healing. On the dogs and ME. They do not make it anymore. I wish i could get my hands on some to keep in my truck. Other medicated foot and body powder will works but not as good as the old BFI.

cauterize it. Sounds cruel but the most effecient thing you'll ever do.

Thanks Tar and BAS. The bleeding seems to have stopped for now. Cauterization is what he’ll get if it starts back, though.
