ive got a dog thats been in heat , her 21st day will be the 17th of sept . would it be safe to hunt her or wait until after the 17th?

WAIT!

I had one a few years ago that didn't breed until the 19th day according to progesterone tests. Some have different heat cycles. Wait until your 3 weeks is done, bathe her good with shampoo to kill any lingering scent, then check her with a male before you hunt her.

Helps to change the bedding in their house as well.
