Edisto River CHA Benefit Hunt and Show

For Robert Moon will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010. For those of you who don't know, Robert has been a member of our club for many years and is currently fighting cancer. He has been in and out of treatment for the past several months, and we have decided to try and help him and his family out in this trying time by putting on a benefit hunt and show at our club in New Holland, SC.

UKC has graciously allowed us to donate all revenue from the hunt and show to Robert. We will be cooking bbq and chicken dinners for $7 a plate. Bench show at 3:00, treeing contest and drag race after that, then the hunt is at 7:00. $20 for the show, $25 for the hunt.

Any donations you can make for an auction, we'll take them. You can contact me by email venningm@usca.edu, phone 803-215-3114, or Dink Griffith 803-663-3536 if you want to reserve a plate, donate something or have any questions. Thanks for your time, and any help you can give!

Challenging all bench show folks!

Let's show our support for the Edisto Club and Robert Moon.
If you or someone you love has never been through an illness such as this, then you are so BLESSED! For those of who have, we feel the struggle this family is facing.

Please make plans to attend! Supporting our "Hunting Brother's and Sisters" is what it is all about!

Please contact Venning Morrison for any information.

Be blessed Robert!

A quick update on Robert's condition: He was admitted to the hospital last Friday because of difficulty breathing. He underwent surgery Monday a.m. for a procedure to help him with it. He has a chest tube in for drugs and was on a ventilator when I went to visit him in the ICU Monday night.

As of now, he's been taken off the ventilator and is out of ICU. He's alert and oriented as of yesterday. Depending on CT scan results he may be able to go home as early as Sunday. Thanks again for all your prayers and support.

I'd love to see a big turnout for him next Saturday. Please try and let me know if you haven't already if you're going to be able to make it for the show, hunt or just to come and eat so we have an idea on how many we're going to be feeding. Email is venningm@usca.edu, cell phone 803-215-3114. Thanks again to all.
