Just a question ?

Is there going to be a payout breakdown chart for the doubler header minie slam hunts put in our hunt packet like for this many entrants and this much entry fee we pay this to the club and this to the hunters ect , ect ?

Yep there is no way to do a break down sheet when every cast doesn't have a winner and all dogs don't hunt together which changes amount of cast depending on how many registered and champions that enter. If they were to do a break down right now under current format it would be a book not a sheet lol!
You and all others will receive a fill in the blank sheet to help to do the math involved.

I know but it is a 55% payback if you got 12 dogs and don’t have a plus point cast winner you got to split 55% 12 ways you will have to have a bucket of $1 and $5 bills to make change there has to be a better way.

Honestly I think they should make a $ winner in every cast even if they don't get a cast win towards title.

You nailed it. If your hunting for $ every cast winner needs to have a payday. Wins toward a title are just another attraction.

X2 instead of paying all of them for a dead cast just pay the one that did the least worst.

Then you could have a cheet chart instead of a calculator and a bucket of change.

There is a sheet that is sent out with slam event packets. It is in the process of being updated. With the new $25 and $35 slams, the payout is actually going to be 50/50. Should make it a little simpler.

Richard you ever took winnings in the other kc for no plus points I did and was glad to get it so I could hunt the next night.

That is one of the differences in the KC's. In PKC you can get paid just for showing up, paying your entry fee and keeping your mouth shut. Your dog doesn't have to tree a coon. It is just gambling. Sometimes they just flip a coin to see who wins. You are just gambling anyway. It doesn't matter who has the best dog. In UKC your dog has to be able to tree a coon and not just make a tree.

Do you think that they should be the same? You keep saying that you are a "UKC Man" and you like UKC hunts but you keep wanting to change UKC rules so that they are just like PKC rules. I don't understand?

I like the option of getting just the money an not going towards the dog for its title. Minus or circle, has to be a cast winner. You want to see a bunch of crying grown men, say it’s a dead cast. Having to be plus points to win a cast will be a thing of the past before long. I don’t like it , but it will have to be that way. Money is all that’s wanted anyway. A title doesn’t mean squat anymore.

Mr Richard, it still means something to me. Let’s put it that way . But it really doesn’t mean squat now days. People will not continue to come to these hunts if a dead cast leaves them with nothing. I think a person should at least get their entry fee back. Club can take the remaining money of the cast an stick it in a pot for a added purse hunt at a later date. Just a thought.

The all grand pedigree and the way some went about achieving it sorta numbed me for respecting a title. I know when you start studing a dog the first question you are asked is how much money they won. I owned one platinum champion. He was a good enough dog that he trained a dog that treed coons all around him. But he made him have to work hard to get it done.

You hunt your pups iith an old slow dog they will be old slow dogs.
