We hit a double header over the weekend. In the early round, Swag got deep in the mountain and got treed with a few minutes to spare but with the wind and where we were and the distance (0.90 miles) we couldn't hear him from where we were. The other dogs made two slicks and a den. In the late round, Swag slipped away from the other three in the cast and slipped behind us and treed a single by himself. The other 3 dogs left on a footrace and bushwhacked one deep. By the time we got to the other dogs time was up. We got beat on strike points but he sure looked good. Sometimes that is just how it goes.

I have had several calls lately about pups from Swag.

I am personally making two big crosses on Swag this year.

GrCh NiteCh 'PR' Trackman's Spare Change will be bred to Swag. She is starting to swell up and should be bred by the end of this month. I already have a big list of folks wanting a pup out of these two. I haven't taken any deposits and folks change their minds so contact me and I can put you in the list in case someone backs out.

We hit a PKC hunt early but didn't have any luck. After a little "adjustment" Swag went 0.75 miles on the next drop and treed a single. He was treed about an hour before we got in there to him. In the meantime though Curly had gone the other way and cold trailed a track that Swag ran over and ran him home into this den. He is going to be tough.

Swag was bred to a nice female directly out of Wildcard yesterday. I will post more details as I get them. She has been pleasure hunted all of her life but is a deadly accurate coon treeing machine according to several guys that know her.

Swag has proven to be an outstanding choice when crossed on clover females. This one will be no different!

The last clover female that Swag was bred to produced a litter of freaks. Every pup in the litter is special. They are just over a year old and are all just downright impressive. They are wild hunting coon treers! A guy sent me a video of his on Friday night. He treed 4 wild singles in the coal mining mountains of west virginia. They are all about like that.

Here is the one I have from that litter. This was last night. He moves around like a rocket and if it's a slow night, you'll pick him up a mile or two away. He's starting to settle down a little and is turning into a very nice hound.

I haven't bred him to any bone female but I think it would make for a solid cross. I like what he puts on their ground and I think they would compliment each other nicely. Big loud wild track drivers.

As many of you know, I am a teacher for a living. I haven't been on here much since school let out but we have been making a little noise in the woods.

I turned Swag loose the other night to get some exercise after a big storm came through. He got it for sure. He covered about 1.67 miles and finally worked up a single.

We turned Curly after that. He hit a decent feeding track. He trailed it across a field, up two hollows and put him in a pine.

It's hot but it's high times for treeing coons around here.

Talked to Brian last night while Dolly was having her pups. She has 6 females and 5 males. I'll post pictures as soon as he sends them to me. He did say they were colored nicely, most were solid black and white.

I have been pretty busy lately and haven't been on here very much. I apologize to anyone who has tried to contact me in the delay. My wife and I celebrated the birth of our second child, a daughter, two weeks ago.

Swag pups on the ground!

Dolly had 11 pups and ended up with 6 females and 4 males. They will be 4 weeks old on Monday. Dolly is directly out of Wildcard. She is a tough female that gets hunted almost every night of the season and has a whole side of the barn stretched with hides to prove it. Had a good hunt last night with Mike Quick from NC. We hunted his pup Power Jack and I took Swag and Curly. The coons weren't moving too well early. We turned the Jack and Curly loose together. They got a track going and Curly took it through the middle of the cornfield, swung it back around behind us and treed on the edge of the field in big white pine while Jack stayed down the creek. Curly can flat move it like a rocket! On the next drop we turned all 3 of them together. They all got split up. Swag went for a big trip, covered a little over a mile and treed a big coon on the edge of another cornfield.

I haven't been able to hunt much because of the birth of my daughter. I'm slowly getting back in the saddle and it doesn't seem like it's going to take much to knock the dust off of Mr. Curly.

Fruit Juice is swelling up, coming in heat and will be bred the last few days of August. Pups will be fully paid up in Super Stakes and performance nominated. They are most likely going to be born the first week of November giving them PERFECT fall SS birthdays!

Juice is a coontreer and a PROVEN reproducer that has produced some BIG winners when bred to several different studs. Her pup earnings are around $8000 currently. Her pups start early. Juice is the mother of 2017 Reserve SS Sophomore Champion Pro Bait. Juice herself isn't coming back when you turn her loose, you'll find her treed somewhere. She is a bigger female with a good mouth.

Study it close. Juice is bred very similar to Curly's momma, Newsome's Wild Style Tessa. That cross flat worked. Every pup from that litter is something special.

If you know anything about anything then you'll see why this is going to be such a special cross. If they are like their parents they are going to be WILD, big hunting independent track driving coon treers.

I bred ice two weeks ago both sisters delivers 5-6 days early last year , wired good luck with your cross there will be some good ones off that cross ! Maybe we make a swap, for future crosses down the road
