SB 1090 Companion bill HB 1156 Is headed for a floor vote this week this bill is a kiss of death for all dog owners please take 5 minutes of your time and email your Texas State Senator And Your Texas State house Representative and just simply ask them to vote NO TO SB 1090 / HB 1156. IF YOU Need to know how to contact them and who your Rep. are

SB 1090 COMPANION BILL 1156 UP DATE AS OF 4-24 -17
SB 1090 passed Senate Floor Vote and has been sent/received in the House for consideration.

So it’s thru in Senate.



However a Senate bill can then go thru House, which is simply double insurance if there’s a similar House bill.

SB 1090 is now “in” House Public Health Committee, but no action there yet.



HB 1156 is “Out” of House Public Health committee and has been placed on Calendar for Floor Vote, but nothing there yet either.

SB 1090 FAILED TO PASS

SB1090 failed to pass thanks to the Freedom Caucus who loaded down the bill.

Rep. Stickland, Tinderholt, Bell, and Cyrier and Kacal are all owed a big debt of gratitude.

However,

be aware that one member of the Texas House Freedom Caucus, Rep. Matt Shaheen, was a Co-sponsor on SB1090!
