Throw the one in the right hand away keep the one in the left hand it is the OFFICIAL book of U K C until a revised one is printed PERIOD. JUST my opinion which don't mean much, BUT if the rule book says do it and you do it the way it says then how can you be wrong ?

Its a tool thats it. I can read a rule and you can read a rule and come out with two different interpretation of it. The Advisor lets us know which one if either is right. Thats all its for.

That's when the MOH gets a club officer involved in making those pre-selections.

"But we've ALWAYS done it that way"

The smoothest cast are those where everyone knows the rules. The guy least likely to come back to a night hunt is the man that feels he got taken advantage of...

The fastest road to obsolesces is to KEEP doing things the same way. Like it or not we've are in a information age... If you want to attract a younger demographic you'd better make information available via the medium THEY use (online).

I'm 50+ years old and I don't even turn on my home computer anymore, I rely on my smart phone. I haven't read a coonhunting magazine in YEARS, there's
no need, the info is stale by the time it reaches my mail box. Heck I can get PLAY BY PLAYS of cast while they happen! Why anyone would rely on a magazine for information or a business would expect a customer too is beyond me....

Darn Chris you are still a young man. But what you said about the phone is the way it is going. Funny how there are some things you never forget. I woke up one day about noon up in KY at Ken Lake and smelled the best BBQ I have ever smelled. I followed my nose and you were there doing the cooking. That must of been well over 20 years ago.

This summer hunting lets me know I'm not as young as I used to be! Last night it was 9:45 and I was sitting in a bean field waiting for it to get dark enough to turn loose.

As far as the phones, if anything I spend TOO MUCH time on my mine but they are SO HANDY! Man I miss those days at Ken Lake! I can honestly say between 95 & 2005, the level competition there was unreal.

I'm not bragging (maybe I am) but every person that's had my BBQ has walked away shaking their head. The saddest part is after cooking them I can't enjoy/taste anything because I've been inhaling the smoke all day.

Not much left anymore hat off to the ones that have it . Was in an RQE past weekend not a real good place lots of cut over 3 dog cast mine and another made 1 den tree 1 dog ran the road 2.5 miles after den tree time out was called to find the roadrunner found him and by the smell you would have known what he had treed, before called time in was called me and another hunter was offered $200 apiece to give the skunk dog 400 + and sign the card and call it a night. Now this was a RQE hunt Im just to old school for that $hit course that's why titles don't mean nothing to me OK I'm through.

there is one thing that not quite right about some of our Master of Hounds, they do not keep up with all the rules and some don't even pay attention to the coon hound adviser where different things come up and answered.i have had a discussion with some that weren't up todate on rule changes and they still have a license to be a Master of Hounds,i asked do you get the Bloodlines and they said no,then I asked do you read the coon hound adviser they said know,my only question is why do they still have a master of hounds license if they are not up on the rules?it seems they need to do a test again and see if they can pass the test again.jmo
