Because of all the long distance inquiries on breeding to Hook we are looking into shipping chilled semen to save on travel time an cost. Darrell Rhodes made the trip up from Georgia yesterday and bred a nice female to Hook. She lacks a win or two from being a Grand Night. They danced again this morning. Thanks Darrell for making the long drive. Thankyou Dan Glista for your support and help.

If all goes right Hook has a girlfriend coming to Ohio on July 15

My dogs have not been getting in the woods much of late. Been getting Hook out more than the others and he has looked real good and seeing coon in the leafy trees. His sister Speck has developed a little health issue we are working on getting taking care of. She was to the vet yesterday. My Leon and Speck pups are coming along well with this hot weather holding me back alittle.


Hook is here to hunt with if any one wants to see him go.

I have owned this dog almost 4 years now. He can still wow me more than most have. In the last 7 pleasure hunts l have had him come treed from the snap of the leash as follows.
170yds 2mins with coon.
230yds 3mins with coon
40 yds 5mins with coon
540 yds 7mins with coon
35 yds. 30 seconds with coon
215 yds. 3 mns with coon
220 yds 4 mins with coon
Now these times were just looking at my phone. Somewhat accurate
These are just on the first drop not the whole hunt.
He went on and treed other coon during these hunts.
He made one tree that l did not see a coon in the last 7 pleasure hunts. Thanks for taking time to read Hooks thread.


Oh and also l do not hunt feeders. Just cut him in where we always hunt.

Ron I really enjoyed talking to you on the Computer tonight. We are sure looking at Hook for Lou this next Heat period. I would like to get some of Dave Hutton's money also. Dave is a good Friend. He was there to talk to last year when I couldn't hunt for two months. If we Breed to Hook Dave we will make sure you get a pup if we get any. Dave P.S. Steeb it is crazy how he has been lately. And its the accuracy that he is doing it.. Hope it keeps up! I have to leave him tree 15 to 20mins to hopefully get him in better shape. I have not done him justice on keeping him in the woods this summer. Nights are short and a 430 alarm clock hard on this ol coon hunter.
