Bruce Jansen handled him some if I remember correctly.

Yes, Bruce Jansen can tell you more than most on Harry. I drew him once in the spring at Kokomo, Indiana and he won our cast with like 1200 points. That joker was faster than fast and Russ treed him every time before his locate stopped I mean a one bark tree dog. Top 5 performances I have ever seen.

Harry

I hunted Harry for 6 months. One of 2 or 3 best track dog I’ve hunted. Like Brian said a one bark tree dog. The best combination score card and coon dog I’ve hunted. I’ve hunted a few that were better coon dogs. And a couple that were better score card dogs I don’t thing any were better at both. Bellar put a UKC 2 Nd on him. I hunted him in 7 hunts. Easily won every cast. To my knowledge he hasn’t produced a world ch. But he was a good producer. Saigon was off Harry and a Yadkin River Camp female I bred to him while he was here. He died of Blasto when he was 4.

It's nice to see someone like yourself that has hunted with a lot of really good dogs, make such a positive statement about this dog. Says a lot about his ability. Dave

Handsome Harry

I was lucky enough to get to start Harry for Loyd Wilson from Wichita Kansas. Loyd called him Power Pac when I had him I got him at about 9 or 10 months old he was about as natural as anything I've ever seen. My dad had coyote hounds at the time saw Harry outrun some young July hounds on a coyote and run it down in a gravel road before he was a year old he didn't hold it but he exceptional track speed for a coondog. Showed him a few coon and he quit the fast stuff and started treeing coon like an old dog. His mother was an outstanding reproducer I started 7 or 8 out of Nancy if memory serves me correct he was in the last litter out Pac Man and Nancy. Most of the hounds I see today just beat around on a track never getting out of a fast trot. Harry when I had him had track speed to give away. Loyd Wilson took him home and put some hard hunting on him and sold him Russ. Loyd Wilson is one of the best with a young dog if not the best I ever saw he has trained and sold many big time winners.

I could be mistaken but I’m pretty sure my dad started him on pheasants. Had a beagle that would run pheasant and took him along. I’m pretty sure that was the dog.
