I know this is about female heat cycles. But was wondering if this problem has any affect on the males also?

very well could. I know a few buddies that have started using oxy-stud, and have been getting good results.

Lol,ya well mine would come in heat {sometimes} and NEVER take.Did progesterone testing,live,ai,direct into uterus...NOTHING

Put the grain to em , Had 3 females and no heat cycles for over a year on high octane grain free feed , put em on Purina Dog chow and in a few months all 3 came in

Cancer

Sad to post that my female 'Jill' in my signature below had to be put to sleep cpl weeks ago.Vet and I thought she had a pinched nerve or a disc out in her back.Vet gave her steroids and got her feeling better ,moving around good and eating........Then it came roaring back.X ray showed several Cancer tumors on her spine.

Some of the tumors had even 'fuzed' together w/ her vertebrae causing her pain and pinching/pressure on her spinal cord.
Ended up paralyzed in rear legs.Spent a cpl. weeks with her,trying everything and waiting for a miracle to happen.Would only eat home cooked meat based with dog food patties if I hand fed her.Would only drink if I held pan up to her......Couldn't watch her suffer and know she was in pain and just deteriorating.

Went from still wanting to go,hunting,acting 5 {was 11.5}to gone in less than 30 days.Had her since she was 11 months old.
Hardest decision I've had to make so far in my life.It was like the pain of a family member passing.Not to mention the guilt of having to make that decision.....wow

I know the saying they get better after they are gone.She was honestly the most accurate hound I've ever seen in the woods.Mine or not.Hunted her against and with some 'top' hounds throughout the years,only to be glad she was mine! The better the competition the better she looked.Made Nitech in 3 hunts.Scored 1050 for her 1st.Never put her in another hunt,as they are not for me..... anymore.
Those type of hounds don't exist today.

*She was on 'V' {red bag} 24/20 for at least 10 years of her life.*
I will NEVER feed another 'V' product!
It wasn't the water {tested} or from the ground.She was on cement,under a roof of a converted carport and was taken care of.

I know they don't live forever.Hard to see the good ones go from cancer... after being so full of life,wanting to go and taking her hunting just a few weeks before.

All the preservatives and additives they put in today's dog food is the problem.They must want a 10 year shelf life?

Back in the day{mid '80s} I fed Joy.can't remember the name on bag other than it was made by Joy.it was like a giant rabbit pellet.Fed it for years.No health issues or cancer.
