What a HITT!!

As I get older I've learned to appreciate firsts a lot more than I did when I was younger. Tonight I was blessed with 2 more firsts.
1. First time I've ever driven 8hrs to eat fish. (AND DID WE EAT FISH!!!)
2. First time I've ever had Pear Pie. And to quote Mr. Jerry Clower, "HAAAWWW SON!!!" If you've never had Tar's Pear Pie you're miss'n out for sure.

I'll say this, if Ole Tar ever decides to open up an eat'n joint you better get in line early because that place will fill up fast. WOW what a spread!! A good buddy of mine and I gave it our best shot, but Tar just kept cook'n and then he sent more with us when we left. LOL
We want to thank the whole Hitt family and all the friends for such a warm welcome, the incredible meal and a great time.

Pear pie, man I love pears but never heard of pear pie. I bet it would be good, now I know that catfish is finger licking good. Sounds like you treated your company like kinfolk. Great job! Dave

Sounds like y'all left with full bellys and new found friendships! I've never had pear pie but anything that gets fed butter every 15 minutes while cooking I'm game to try!
