When starting out pups or young dogs, do any of you actually turn out a coon and allow the dog to see it climb the tree to associate scent and location? Or, is this a big no no and teaching them to rely on sight rather than scent?

I have a young dog (almost 2) that is a tracking fool but seems unsure at the tree. She has treed quite a few coon (dozen) on her own but I'd like to see her slam the tree a little harder. Perhaps I should leave well enough alone. Didn't know if letting her see one climb and popping it out would encourage or discourage.

At 2 years old and already treed a dozen its time to quit playing with cage coon turn her loose by herself where she can tree a coon let her tree a good while before you go to her if she quits treeing hard enough for you stop turn off your light off until she trees right again then start to her don't get in a hurry to get there make her tree steady before you go in to the tree .the best thing to do with a caged coon is turn em loose in your favorite hunting spot about noon and turn your pup loose in there an hour after dark
