Never placed it soley at the feet of the Lone Pine breeding(I do think they had a big part in it though),alot of the old blood had alot of black and white on them,I do know that alot of the old Harry dogs were very ticked up and tri-colored,didn't see any w/ black heads,like Clover, Whitey, and Casey.Joe,also Barney's sire was Chief I think,Ring was out of Barney.

I'm not exactly sure but what I heard is that Whitey was walking thru the hunts and was a Nt Ch with 3-4 wins towards Gr Nt all within a short time span and UKC informed the owners that there was a descrepency with one of his open registered 1st pl wins. I believe the owners were told that if he would go back and hunt open reg. and get that 1st they would validate the Nt Ch wins he had already acquired. The owners instead chose to hunt him in PKC where he did a bunch of winning.
Thats the version I heard. Not sure if its accurate.

He was, it was revoked due to a clerical problem that had nothing to do with anything Clover ever did wrong. If I remember correctly, another dog was credited with a win.....

I've posted this before, and I'll post it again.

Stylish Clover had made NT CH and four wins to Grand night. At one of the hunts where he had one of his registered cast wins, there was a formal appeal about a question on another cast. There was a large time delay before the appeal was acted upon at UKC. (in the interim Stylish Clover was awarded a NT CH degree and his four wins to Grand). Once the appeal was acted upon, the finishing order of the original hunt was changed....such that Stylish Clover did not have enough Championship points to hold the UKC NT CH degree....

His owners were told that if they went BACK to the registered division and placed, that UKC would honor the wins to grand...and everyone would be happy.

In the mean time, the Whitey craze was on....he was winning large sums of money in PKC, and was very busy in the stud pen. His owners opted to NOT take him back to a UKC hunt.

He ended up dying one of the few PR dogs with four wins to grand.
