Tom, heritage is making a gun you will like, it's called Tactical Cowboy and has a factory mounted rail and a threaded barrel. The mount allows one to use a scope, red dot or any type of optic you choose. In my opinion the threaded barrel is useless on a revolver as a silencer would make no difference as far as noise reduction. However, one could use a flash suppresser if they choose or to get a heavier muzzle weight. Heritage is also making a rifle version with shoulder stock and adjustable sight, but no optic option. Dave. P. S. Just found out they are making a model called the tactical rancher with a rail for optics and a threaded barrel no sights. The rancher models both models are ideal for coon hunting or varmint hunting option of 22lr or 22mag cylinders light weight sling included, just put your choice of optic and go hunting. Heritage accuracy is better than a lot of more expensive guns, I know.
