Alpha 100

What causes the Alpha to turn on when I
Plug it in to charge,,, when I turn it off
Than it’s fine goes to charge like it should
I just updated it

You have it is Base Station mode. Many people have it set up that way so they can charge it while using it as they are hunting from their truck. If Base Station is off all you will see is the symbol representing you are charging it and can't turn it on while on charge. Base station is found in the system settings.

Andy the last few seconds of this video explains the base station selections. If you don't see the menu the same on your handheld then you need to update your handheld. When in the prompted mode. When you plug it in, you have the option to stay in the charging mode or go to base station mode.
