I thought that Freak, Lick and Cherry had all been retired? I haven't heard anything about them for awhile other than having puppies.

HEAT CYCLES AND RAISING PUPS HAS A LOT TO DO WITH WHAT YOU DO IN HUNTING A FEMALE,IF THEM 2 WORK OUT I WILL TAKE ANOTHER SHOT AT IT WITH DAZY NEXT YEAR.

Are you saying that once something is retired...that it cant be considered good anymore?
Think carefully.....this might be a trick question....

Retired to me means that they aren't going to be hunted so they won't be doing any winning. I thought that we were talking about the present now. Are you saying that there isn't a difference between "being" a top female and "used to be" a top female.

You are a pretty good trickster but surely everyone but you knows what I meant.

Posted by Hoosier Outlaw on 10-20-2017 07:33 PM:

Well...the original question Dean asked only stipulated that they be still living.
And I wouldn't call Cherry completely retired yet. I hauled her to Oklahoma to Redbone Days in June and she won Grand Nites on Thursday night and has added a little PKC money to her lifetime totals this year. She was in 5 casts this year I think.
The only reason I don't push her in competition much is because I raise pups off her and I have 4 younger Nt.Ch. half sisters to her that my partners and I have been competing with this year.

So, will Freak lead the race in that other KC again this year? I hear that Cat already has a head start.

Posted by Richard Lambert on 10-21-2017 03:25 PM:

Where is Brent Weatherford? Didn't Hope win high scoring Redbone female at Autumn Oaks this year? I have heard that she is an up and coming female. And what about George Steffe's young female Whizzie? He told me that she was pretty nice also. A lot of people are strangely silent.

Posted by mmarshall on 10-21-2017 04:12 PM:

Oh my goodness Cherry cat and Tripp half sister babe advanced to final twelve at acha world maybe Bree should be on the list she has did some winning and shore has reproduce some top females and she is retired but still living 😛

Is Babe a Redbone?

Is this going to turn into another top reproducers post?

Posted by Hoosier Outlaw on 10-21-2017 06:30 PM:

Babe has also won over $2k in open events this year in that other registry that some folks use to measure a dogs success.... when you add in the money she won last year and the added purse money....it puts her well over $3k in lifetime earnings....not bad for a 3 yr old out of a broke down, washed up, retired old Redbone brood bitch

I think Mark and I have been pretty clear that she is out of Grand Nite Champion Ky Moonlight Breanna who is a redbone....
Everybody knows that the sire doesn't matter anymore...lol

Busy

Been pretty busy here since Oaks. Hope is in heat. Got another week or so. We will be hunting soon and next year. Probably first try and get our Money won then wait on April. After that She will be in heat again. Depending on how things go after that I may raise a litter then or wait till I Finish her to Grand. Good Luck to Everybody.
