Garmin upgrade to Alpha ?

My question is I have 320 with a SD card with Birdseye on it, I' am thinking about changing to a Alpha, can I take the card out of 320 and use in alpha, or do I need to Delete everything on card then start with alpha and empty card, Also when starting up with the Alpha do I need to add basecamp again or use the basecamp already with Garmin and computer. Will I have to recopy hunting areas in Birdseye for alpha ?
