!!!---Any Ford Mechanics on here ?---!!!

Looking for advice.....
I have a 2009 Ford F150 2 wheel drive....89,000 miles.
The ABS & Brake Lights came on the dash 1 week ago, sometimes you start it & they won't come on for a minute or so. Had it in the shop and they could find anything wrong but it did pull up a Code & they tried to reset it but wouldn't clear.
As far as noticing anything wrong you can't tell there is a problem with how the truck drives or runs. It's been a Super Dependable Truck.
Any thoughts on what to do next ?
Tim

I don't drive a Ford but anytime I've needed to replace a wheel bearing on my truck the side of the dash with brake codes lights up.

Might try bleeding the brakes. I don't know about a 09, but my older truck will do the same thing. I bleed the brakes till the lights go out. The piston in the master cylinder gets off center and bleeding will center it back up. The master cylinder might be going bad.

Yes....Googled it and wasn't much help. Most of them saying Wheel Speed Sensor but it's already been checked for that. The brakes are fine also.

Truck issues

The Ford Dealership is saying it's the ABS Module and it's a $2300 fix........YIKES...!!

Yep I was told the samed thing, gonna be expensive to fix. So I took it to a country mechanic and we bled the brakes and it fixed it. But mine is a 1988 f-150.

Him & I did talk and he has helped me to get it narrowed down to it is the ABS Module and will need replaced......I guess the Ford Dealership I took it to was right on the Diagnosis.
Thanks Everyone

I took his Advice and took the ABS Module off and sent it in to be Rebuilt....got it back and put it on....all lights went off in 5 seconds after starting the truck.....they have stayed off and I do believe this fixed it.....Total of $160......heck of a lot better than $2300.....LOL

Thanks
Tim
