JAR Kennels

...... Proudly introducing JAR KENNELS......

Kevin Butner and myself have decided after years of hard work and hunting to come out with our own kennel, at this time we have several dogs that we feel are very high caliber of coon hounds. Our kennel derives from the late GRNTCH Melton's Hardtime Cody Jar hence "JAR" Kennels. We have been fortunate enough to live very close to Henry and he has given us a great start with our kennel program. We have both hunted with numerous dogs out of Cody and decided to pay some respect to a great line of hounds. Currently, our stud dog is owned by Kevin Butner, GRNTCH CH Butner's Hardtme Mason Jar. Mason is a first, first type hound in any company any time of year with the blood, brains, and drive most hunters love. Mason had double cast wins at 2010 Southern English Days as well as cast wins at Autumn oaks. He only has two litters on the ground, one is about a year and a half old and are making above average coon dogs as of that age. One pup has a UKC 1st and our pup off him is doing extremely well treeing coons all night long his name is Hardtime Southern Brawler we are currently doing the fine tuning on him to get him ready for hunts in the spring. In addition to Mason we have GRNTCH Crooked Creek Lou, the overall winner at 2009 Southern English Days, Lou in a insane tree dog with a huge locate and mouth. Then we have NTCH GRCH Harris's Hardtime Pearl, Pearl is a first first type hound and quick, she has 3 wins toward grand but due to work and hunting young hounds hasn't been finished out. She has been qualified for the UKC World as a 2 year old and had double cast wins at 2010 southern English days, as well as cast wins at 2010,2011 Autumn Oaks. We feel like we are headed the right way in our breeding program and looking forward to a bright future. Thanks for checking our post out.

Hardtime Southern Brawler

This is Brawler at 10 months old He has a Huge mouth and a steady tree dog. By far the most talented young hound ive ever seen. Trees layups on a dime, most people mistake layups for silent dogs but he isn't silent at all and stands up with his nose in the air on a layup. Very Nice Project

Pup is Not For Sale. I have a littermate to him that's red that is. he acts just as good as this one just don't tree as hard. pups were 10 weeks at video

I have hunted with mason on a couple of cast and liked what I saw .its hard to beat a hound that hunts as hard as he does and has a coon at the end .

I would like to get together and make some drops.I am 1:45 minutes from Monteagle.The last cross David made on the Wilddog has three shots of the old Hardtime Cody. I got a pup out of that cross hope she makes a dandy so I can keep some of that old blood around here.Really like what yall are doing wish yall the best with your breading program.
