Guys thanks for the congrats!! Pride will probably never be in a Field Trial, unfortunately no club in Alabama hosts UKC sanctioned trials. I can't complain though he earns his keep once season rolls around and the leaves fall off. He has been a great cooner for me. Again thanks for the kind words!!

Water Races at Charleston Illinois

Coles County Coonhunters 1st water race August 4 at 10:00 am

2nd water race at August 24 at 10:00 am

We will have a non sanctioned Field Trial hounds only if we have anybody who wants to $5.00 fee. This will be a legitamate track no site race. This will be on both dates.

1st tree $5.00 st line $5.00 in heats pending how many dogs we have 1/2 final money goes to club.

Field Trial will be after water race.

Jeff, I hope you have a great turnout at your water races. I know you have really worked hard to have the best possible events and now all you need is for the people in your area and surrounding areas to show up and enjoy the benefits of all the hard work you and your club members have put into this. Boozeboxer,you have a very good question. I don't know the answer to it, so how about it my Iowa friends . Tell us about Troy on Aug.3 , is that a YEP kid event or is it an any age event ?

Thank you Stonehill we have all worked hard to reclaim area and redo pond to swim and we will have some field trials for hounds if people wants. We have a good area for night hunts. Very proud of the people that help support our club. Hopefully we can draw out of town people also.

The more things you can do hopefully we will get more people involved. We do Night Hunts, Htx's, water races and Non sanctioned field trails ( that will change if we have UKC interest along with Big Coon Contest, and some $5.00 money hunts for new members kids ect to learn rules and pay the light bill. Winner gets 1/2 or better.

Had a very good time at Cole Camp MO last Sat. (Jul.20 ) It was the first water race for Judy since she became water champion and I'm happy to say that she won both line and tree in the WC final.

I like the way your doing your best to inform the public of when and where your events will take place. I really wish I could come all the way from MO to be a part of what I'm sure will be a great day. When its over please tell us mid-westerners how it went.

Well the turnout was very light all day.
Waterrace had 5 dogs entered with one a champion. They were decent swimmers. 4 dogs in field trial. 10 in bench show. Not sure about hunt.

Next event will be August 17 and a walker sectional. Hope it will be better.

Don't be discouraged ,I'll bet the people who did enter had a great time and they will tell others how much fun this is. One thing that might help (if your hunt was well attended) would be to start things later in the day and closer to the hunt time. A lot of people will come to the hunt and would do this too if they didn't have to be there six and one half hours early like in the case of your show. Your FT + WR were timed better but still a lot of boring dead time between them and the hunt. I wish you well with your future events !!!!!!!!!!!!! C-Ya

Too many choices for next weekend in this part of the world! WR at Troy, FT and WR at Decorah IA, FT and WR at Wilton, WI. I'll probably head up to Decorah, though Wilton's about the same distance for me.
