-- Electric vehicles (http://forums.ukcdogs.com/showthread.php?threadid=928523736)

Electric vehicles

Another stupid idea from Schumer.
In a statement to Reuters, Schumer listed three actions the government needs to take in order to get American emissions to meet his target. First: Give Americans a discount of up to $5,000 (with an additional $2,000 for low-income Americans) when they trade in their gas guzzlers for an electric car. Second: Invest $45 billion in charging stations throughout the country. Third: subsidize automakers with $17 billion to increase production of electric vehicles (EVs). Altogether, Schumer predicts his 10-year plan will cost about $454 billion to implement.
Schumer's article cites China's commitment to EVs, but the jury is still out on whether that country's increased production of EVs has been as beneficial to the environment as the senator seems to think. For example, a 2017 study found that EV production in China is about 60 percent less efficient than China's production of gas-powered cars. This is mostly due to environmentally destructive components that EVs require, such as their lithium-ion batteries, which require several rare metals to create. Until EVs can be manufactured more efficiently, their production will still contribute significantly to environmental degradation.

OOPPPSSSY .. they accidently told the truth...........LOL

https://newenergyreport.com/2021-02...rcent-coal.html

GM spokesperson Kristin Zimmerman admits 95% of “clean” energy to charge electric cars comes from COAL(In Michigan)

Okay, so she did try to whitewash her accidental admission by switching it to “natural gas” – which is not much different, according to the climate mafia – at the last second. Still, General Motors (GM) spokesperson Kristin Zimmerman has become something of an internet sensation for letting the cat out of the bag that “electric” cars actually run on about 95 percent coal.

Electric cars are more polluting than gas-powered cars

Electricity is also more costly than normal gasoline, which means electric vehicles are overly expensive, highly polluting scams that only exist because of government subsidies.

If you watch the video closely, you can see the precise moment when Zimmerman realized she had walked right into a trap. She thought about it for a second and came to the realization that her company’s supposedly “green” vehicles are worse polluters than their gas-powered counterparts.

How far behind are you? If you had a totally electric car you wouldn't have spent anything on gasoline.

How much did we pay to subsidize your little electric car so that you could only pay $30?

Richard they will never understand the real world because they can't see past the democrats bull///t. We need to focus on what's is right for America.....throwing all of them to the last one into the unemployment lines, with their leaders in federal prison awaiting their execution sentences to be carried out for treason.

So, are people that are buying electric vehicles helping or hurting America?

We have a Prius and a Silverado

Gotta say you are balancing everything out with a little give and take.

The socialist, lefty, greenies say that you are helping America when you buy an EV but is that true? Do they really know what they are talking about? Look at what else they have to say. After all they said that electing Biden/Harris would make America great. How is that working out?

Total fuel consumption of U.S. airlines is approximately 19 billion gallons annually.
Total fuel consumption for mining Ore for construction of electric car batteries is approximately 21 billion gallons annually.
The 21 billion gallons of fuel burned can only produce enough Ore to build 250,000 electric car batteries.
The lifespan of an electric battery is 10 years and is not renewable. By 2050 these batteries will fill landfills with 50 million pounds of waste that does not break down.
I wonder if people would still believe in electric power cars, vehicles or equipment if they knew how massive the carbon emissions footprint really was? 🤨

How much fossil fuel to burn to charge those batteries?

Plus add in strip mining the earth to make them, only to dump them back in TOXIC.

Oh my goodness, like it or not you can't say "The Big 3" when you talk about American automakers now. It is now "the big 4", GM, Ford, Dodge and Tesla. Elon Musk might look and act like a big idiot but he is a big rich idiot and has put Tesla right up there with the Big 3.

Biden's Build Back Better plan has a provision to give American families that buy an electric vehicle $18,000 a year. It is hidden in the fine print.

One of the 4 richest men in the world is the owner/director/CEO of an electric vehicle company. He has attained that standing in the last 10 months. Imagine that.

I wonder how "art" he's buying with that money?
