The new club in calais is looking pretty good.Allen has put the tree poles in for the field trials.the trails have been layed out, with a nice course in mind.the water race is going to be great where were haveing it.It's all in the same location so we dont have to move anywhere.Lots of parking, room for all the dogs people want to bring, pretty much ready to have a great event.any ? feel free to call 1-207-271-0610

Downeast houndsmen club

Bill, looks like the responce is really good so far. I hope things turn around for the club cause the turnout just hasn't been what it once was. I also really like the idea of big game trials some weekend in June or July. I am looking forward to the 24th. If you and Allen need some help between now and then. let me know. If I'm not workin, I can help out.

up and coming event for april 24

The response so far has been real good.I've talked with quite a few people that are stoked to think that the club has been moved to Calais. There seems to be alot of folks that plan on being there. So come one come all we need the support to keep these clubs going and to have a place that we can place titles on our dogs without having to travel 1000's of miles. We are real ecited to have this place to use,it is the nicest place to hold a event that I've been to so far.We really need the support to make a good go of it .We would really like to find out the response on holding a big game event.I've talked with a good freind that is a taxadermist, and we've talked about building a mechanical bear.now i've talked with the w.virgina bear hunter assn.and they given me some real good adivse.Mounting a life size bear with a recording of bear groans and a hide soaked with scent.the bear would be mounted on springs and pully operated.this is a pretty big exspence so we really need to pull together to see if this is what we want to do.we will discuss all this at our first meeting before the events start on the day of our first event.so please if you can make it we would love to have you.thank-you
