Our season doesn't open until December 1st, so here is a pic from last season. These are my three sons with a young dog were working with out of Top Gun. I know he isn't a Walker dog, but oh well.

The walker dog is only 13 months old in this picture...the kid is 7. The redbone is 15 months old but one of the fastest track dogs I have ever seen. Every now and then they will get "toenailed" too!!!!

Thumbs down what ?

Shooting coon out this early in season is a waste.Hides are too blue {and i'm farther north, Michigan}.My fur buyer don't want any Oct. coon.

.22 shells are worth more.

Do you have big coon in Michigan? And do you have good numbers or do you have thin coon? Just curious

Posted by prostockpat on 10-13-2014 02:59 PM:

Very southern Mi.

Coon here get up to 20-25 lbs.I haven't seen many bigger than that.
Got 1 many years ago that was 28lbs. too old and fat to climb.Hardly any teeth left.Dogs ran him into a old tree stump that was all grown over.

Good coon population;not raining coon, don't tree 1 every 100ft,like some believe.
