Slab Crappie - Mississippi Style

Caught these yesterday (3/30/10). One of these fish was 3 1/4lbs., the other was 3lbs. even. Smallest fish was 1 1/2lbs. The weather has these fish up shallow and biting... and its only gonna get better the rest of the week... I'm about to load the freezer up!!

Sorry man, I am coveting those crappies so bad right now. They look so yummy and I am so weak. You could use our crappies up here as bait to catch those.

That's some dandy crappie for , we just got back from kentucky lake sunday caught some 2.5 pounders but none near that big lol . The good fishin is still to come I'm ready lol

This was yesterday (3/31/10). The wind was TERRIBLE, but we still managed to catch some good fish. The biggest was 2 3/4 lbs. The wind is supposed to calm down the next few days, so I'm gonna try it again.

I got out there a little too late this morning... there were already people at every dang one of my spots... I only ended up catching 3 (but they were all over 2 lbs, so i'm not complaining lol). Tomorrow I'm gonna be there before the sun rises!!
