She's doing good. I put a rag under cage too get the scent. Fern followed me out so I left her bark at it then I left it go.

He's on Blue Ferns Mother's Side. My brother jimmy bred his female too Rock.kept a male and female this was in the 80's misty and sledge made them Gr.Nt.Ch's Nice Hound!

I sure do miss the days when Emit would load his top Blues and head north to Canada to hide hunt in our season . I always tried to concentrate Solid Rock in my breeding program , he was an amazing coon treeing machine , accuracy , lay-up ability , voice , brains ,
independence , like Emit use to say Coondog ! nuff said !

The top picture above with the bluedog treed on the snow was a direct daughter of Rock , her name was Solid Northern Star , her dam was a daughter of Hammer 5 , coondogs.

Just got back laid some coon scent she did good first time running and treeing in the woods. She likes too wind them in the air she's a nice pup.

Continuing to get great reports on this litter! They are now 4 1/2 months old. Confirmed yesterday that 4 out of the 8 have seen coon and barked good on them. A couple are running caged coon that have been turned loose, opening on track and treeing them!

We are looking to repeat the cross when Raven comes in heat this fall.

Tracker (in the lower right almost off of the picture) has been to the woods a couple times at night.

Smokey, our keeper pup. This bunch is nice to look at too!

Took Fern out tonight she treed on two trees on her own. Seen a coon run in a drain. Took her too it she opened up on coon. Petted her up and called it a night.

Bjorn is still growing fast (43 lb at not quite 5 months old!) and is doing great in the woods! He opens on track free casting and has treed coon turned loose for him. You can see a video of him here https://www.facebook.com/appalachia...04251733818514/

Another good night with blue Fern. She loads up good. She hunts out in front of me. Mostly hunts in the woods. Gets up on trees checking them. She's a nice pup I like her.
