Do they work on a alpha without having to hook to a computer? Also the way I read it is you have to have a sd card for different states, is that correct?

Do you still have to pay the subsciption for birdseye? Probably a dumb question.

No Sir, with the cards you pay for the card and you can put it in any ALPHA or ASTRO 430 or 320 and several other non Dog Tracking Devices.

If you wanted the subscription and download yourself then that is still available.

One important thing to remember with the HuntView maps is the states in Green have land owner data. The ones show private/public land but not in detail.

When you first turn you ALPHA on do you get an alarm that says "invalid Birdseye file". I assume you have an ALPHA as you didn't say.

You just need to update your handheld.
