How to build a feeder bucket to attract more coon.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to build feeder buckets, or any other methods to attract more coon to train my new cur pups.

I use tires mounted on their rims. Drill some 2-3" holes in the tire. Insert corn, grape koolaid and water.

If you want the coon to climb to eat, take a tire off the rim, tie a rope on it to pull up the tree. Insert corn, koolaid and water. Pull up the tree.

Other folks I know use 5 gallon buckets. Insert a 1 1/2" - 2" piece of PVC pipe about 2-3" from the bottom of the bucket, then insert the ingredients you wish to use.

randy id go with the tire method,that way somebody walking throw the woods wont think much of it,just seal the bottom good to keep the water in it

Use SunSpot Lights, so bright its like the sun came out at night !!!

i have used the corn in water but i like the bucket better i seen where the dog food is better for the coons and can make them have more young that just what i seen....

With the bucket method you don't use water. On the inside of the bucket the pipe should be slightly angled downwards.

no i use dog food in the bucket with pvc pipe but i used a tire with the corn with holes in the top

bear hunters buckets are perfect i used them last year and i use the cheapest dog food you can find hang at lest 5 o six feet off the ground i use #9 wire stretch between two trees and buy a lock loop that clicks on and off to hang them with makes it easier to fill them. the tire on rim is good too (hint ) take shelled corn fill 5 gal bucket about 3/4 full with corn you can take koolaid grape 1 pack is plenty fill to top with water and let ferment for 4 days, shore stinks but the only thing that will eat it is a coon then put it in the tire use a cup and funnel ( make shore that when you put it in the tire that the corn is covered with water) also i think it gets them drunk! so be careful drunk coon hunters and drunk coons don't mix.
