Erlichieria
Does anyone know if it can be passed on from a pregnant female to the pups?
Erlichieria
I have asked this same question to 3 different Vets.
One said it could be possible if the female is carrying the antibodies.
The other two said no but could not back it up with any proof.
So i am still not sure.
Thanks

I had a female with erlichia that had a litter of pups with no problems. You have to stop the Doxy until the pups are weaned. It interferes with calcium uptake.
Thanks for the info! It is greatly appreciated

Were the pups checked for the antibodies after they were born?
Thanks
