Yeah I enjoy teaching them things maybe next time well let them skin the coon lol. Yeah ole cotton did a great job last night defiantly like the way her and Dixie tree

Myers

Didnt take Witch last night. Lettin her think about things for a few days!! The ole gyp done pretty good. Got split on slick tree and then treed a coon. Dont know what treed first on coon they got about 900yds from us and we had to drive around. They stayed treed for about 45minutes before we got to them and all dogs were there and had coon. Last tree 3 dogs were on tree. Cotton came in later and it was a den we think. Had limbs broken off up high so it was hard to tell. Seen two coons.

Cotton and Dixie Treed

This is my gyp out of GrNtChCh Pr Uchtmans Blue Logan and Matt Smiths gyp out of NtChGrChPr Drips So Blue Duece.
Cotton Is 19mths old and Dixie is 18 mths old. Click on pic for short video.

COTTON

Thanks Scott. Cotton has the tools to be really nice. I have been huntin her some alone and has helped her confidence. She has been getting split lately and wants to have a coon. What I really like about her is she is a very clean, classy, hard tree dog when she is right. No jacking , jumping or chewing. Just spitting them out. I think by the time she is two she will be nice and hopefully be ready to hit the hunts.If I decide to sell her I will calll u first.

Hunt

Didn't have a great hunt last night. David Gilbert came and hunted his Molly gyp out of colt. She got treed slick. We turned loose again cotton and Molly blowed up on a den. Treed hard. I believe they had him. Coon hair everywhere. Try again tonite.

Big time albert pup for sale. She is goin with old dogs and will pull fur. Good mouth and will open on track. Has barked up but has only been hunted about 5 times. $200

Huntin

Been huntin 4 nights a week every week lately. Went last night, first drop struck in at about 600 yds and worked a track in to some beaver ponds. Got treed right and seen coon. Next drop got struck quick and got treed quick. Coon seen. Last drop got in about 400yds struck bad track worked it good for about 45 mins. Got treed but didnt make a believer outa me on the way to tree. Got there and it was slick. Treed in hedge berries. Hunting Cotton and Matt Smiths Dixie gyp. Cotton is 19mths old and Dixie is 18 mths old. Not too bad for these young gyps. Cotton really seems to want to have the coon.

Hunting

Hunted Monday , Wednesday and Thursday nights. Made 10 trees. Seen 7 coons , one den and two slick tree. Not too bad for two young gyps. Cotton on right is 19mths old and Dixie on left is 18mths old. Dixie belongs to Matt Smith and I own Cotton. Just got to keep the pressure on em!!

WINDY

Man I hunted last nite in the wind and rain. Should have stayed at home. Turned cotton out alone went 600 yds never struck came out on road and got in bad area. Finally got her caught. Turned Ruger and Witch loose. Both hunted good but had a hard time getting after a track. Ruger finally got deep and alone and started a bad track. I finally got close and called him out as it was coming a downpour. Try again tonite!!!

Sleet

Well looks like these ole potlickers will get to hunt in the sleet and freezing rain tonite. Guess we will see how they react to the elements. One thing for sure when I get one trained they wont be caught by surprise by anything mother nature can dish out!!!

Hunt

Had a good hunt sat nite. Jason Myers brought rocky down for a hunt. We made 5 trees. Seen 2 coons, one big pine tree, one den and drakes young gyp split on a slick tree. Not too bad of a hunt. Rocky looked good.

We gone hunt her some by herself this week. Hunt her and Cotton alone. Gone have to start gettin on her about them slicks and let her know she aint doin rite. Coons will get a little easier to tree and she will be fine.
