A talk with Derek

I had the pleasure of talking with Derek Redmon about his GRNITE CH ‘PR’ Redmon’s Black Rock. Some of the questions I asked were:

K. How is Rock bred?
A. His sire is GRNITE CH ‘PR’ Jones’s Alabama Lick. His dame is GRNITE CH ‘PR’ Crockett’s Black Wempy.

K. Did you raise Rock or did you buy him?
A. I bought him as a ten month old puppy.

K. How does Rock hunt?
A. Hard hunting by himself, goes deep when needed, and will tree up close if he runs across a coon. He’s a good track dog and usually a first or second strike.
