Alabama?

I can't find that Alabama has a coon season. Is this true? If so can you coon hunt the public land all year? I was thinking about a possible spring trip. Can anybody tell me much about it, would it be worth a trip? Are snakes and ticks bad? Thanks for any help!

Alabama

Regarding snakes, no different than Virginia in that regard. You can hunt places that do not have many or you can hunt places where there are lots of them. Find a local who can tell you where there are not many snakes. Dave

You can hunt national forest year around here as long as it is not a area of the national forest that is a WMA.Season ends March 5th and reopens September 1st if it is WMA land.
