Registration for Semen Litter

Good Afternoon,
Have acquired frozen semen on a coonhound from a relative of the actual owner. The owner has passed away and we are now looking at using the semen for breeding .
My question, how do I register the litter with the owner being deceased and not able to sign the sire portion of the registration.

Please advise on the proper steps needed to take.
Ronnie Hill

Hi there!

To register a litter using frozen semen the deceased dog will need to be DNA profiled before the litter can be registered.

If the dog had not been profiled, you can profile the frozen semen. For information on that, please follow this link https://www.ukcdogs.com/docs/regist...pplication.pdf.

Once the dog has been profiled, you may fill out the litter registation application as normal. You will just have to be certain to mark on the application that frozen semen was used and you are able to sign for it since you own the semen.
