Have you ever seen a dog that was 90% accurate?

Yes
GrNtCh Spartan dog I had was very accurate. Bought him in Nov. & never got to hunt him much till late Feb. because of weather. In lots of snow yet, but warmer weather, he treed 15 coon seen & 1 ? tree on 16 drops to start spring. That is when I knew I had bought a pretty good 2 yr. old. Just a side note, I am planning on hunting with a littermate brother to him next week, when I take road trip south. And the night Cub finished him to GrNtCh, he was under a coon 2.2 miles away & you could still plainly hear him. Take care, Ron.
Shack
I'd say Redneck Backwoods Shack is right up there. I have the privilege to hunt with a lot, sometimes 2-3 nights week. Probably seen him cut loose 500 times. I can count on both hands how many times I've seen him be slick. Rain, snow, or shine. He will flat embarrass you and your junk on "bad nights".

I hunt with one now ........95%+ accurate ....even with leaves on it's rare we don't see coon....... she's a vacuum type trail dog...medium speed , with a locate, doesn't tree just to tree and is not influenced by what other dogs r doing... Other dogs hunt with her.......
Yep
An old female out of Dohoney’s Boone I used to own.
Yes I be been very fortunate the last 45 years to own and hunt with several extremely accurate hounds and all these dogs very seldom treed in den trees.

I keep track. Wood is a touch over 80. You might look at 25 in a row but on average through the year coon seen vs not he is a bit over 80. I've seen really accurate tree dogs before but they were slow to get treed. He is a first tree dog.

In the summer time in this jungle you can’t get where you can see the whole tree.

If you keep track for 1 year of trees made and coon seen and are honest you won’t see 90%.
Maybe when all this flood water goes down it will be cleaner hunting.

I’ve got a terrier that is 100% accurate . She doesn’t tree often but when she does, it’s there lol ! I’ve hunted with 3 dogs regular for over a year that I didn’t write down coons seen or not seen but I know I could count on one hand the number of tree I didn’t see a coon on. All seasons of the year in all conditions. Saw many even on dens. If they are there, you will see them most of the time in my opinion .

Accuracy
I have one right now he is a English dog and I will guarantee he is 90 percent they ain’t nothing quick and flashy about him but when he settles you can cock the gun it’s there and I would invite anyone to come to hunt with him anytime any place I live in the mountains of North Carolina and coon isn’t thick I hunted him all season from oct to February he made 2 slicks and one was in January and one in February our coldest 2 months of the year and boats rutting

I've seen this high of accuracy, but the down side is that they will leave trees that have coon as well. They wont gamble. At this time of year they will leave kitten coon and tree the sow. Deer cameras show that there are usually multiple coon together feeding. The most accurate dog is the one that only trees on coon that kick bark in their face. I prefer a dog that locates off body scent as they tree where the coon is not where he was, but they will miss at times due to air currents.
Accuracy is in the eye of the beholder. There are 2 kinds of trees, 1.You see the coon 2.You don't. If you calculate % by coon seen vs. trees made no one has ever seen 90% and as long as there's hollow trees, holes, dense foliage, nest, dozer piles, cedar glades, etc. No one ever will..

Yes! I had one out of Kansas Dancer, that was probably that, or very close to it. It was rare that he ever missed a coon, as a matter of fact, I remember one he missed, because it was so rare. He treed in a fence row, and it was slick. About 3 trees down, sat the coon. He just didn't miss many.

Y’all over 90% must be counting spider eyes as coon eyes
Dont know about 90 and im sure most people are speculating the number unless you are keeping one heck of a log book and never ever forgetting to log every single tree. that in itself is impressive to me .
Im not sure about 90 cause never kept track or seen every tree they made but i rem 3 REAL accurate ones in my day hardly ever remember seeing em slick. few dens in winter yes.
One was a bluetick true layup specialist , other two was English. all 3 male dogs . I tried to buy 2 of them on separate occasions with no luck.
If the one living today was comp hunted you would get sick of seeing him at the entry table.
