Both Hank and Pedro are some very nice Finley River bred hounds. We still have that old Finley River Blood here in Wisconsin after twenty years. There are some awesome Finley River pups in MO that are out hunting older dogs for pleasure. Now starting in the hunts and still treeing coon when others are slick treeing. Love those pure Finley River. We have Rasin and Disco linebred as Finley River can get but sold out. Pedigree on website. Always Looking for a nice male to cross out on. But have you ever had those liver or grey color pups I keep hearing about down south GA or is it Alabama way? Tried to tell peole never ever seen that color in true Finley River. Nothing here after twenty years of breeding our line of dogs. Still Looking for something out of Pete or Zip. Keep those pure Finley River dogs in the woods hunting.

Hank and Country

Hi,

Gr. Ch. 1985 NKC World Show Ch. Mears' Finley River Radar is in Hank and Country's pedigree twice. Radar is a littermate to Gr. Ch. 1995 SWTWA Hall of Fame female Gr. Ch. Mears' Finley River Trap.
I owned Radar and Trap's mother and father. I bought them as pups raised them, trained them, bred them one time. Jane, their mother, died the next winter and Dancer, their father, was shot on tree the following year. He didn't die, but I never turned him loose again. I was going to buy another pup to replace Jane, but Tom, her father, was smothered in a dog box by Lonnie Mears while he was fishing. I didn't want to go backwards in my breeding program so I concentrated on Trap and Radar. Most all my dogs of today go back to Trap, Radar, or both. Have some for outcrosses, but they go back to dogs on the bottomside of my dogs. Flying Hawk or Finley River. Have a littermate to Ch. Gr. Nt. Ch. Finley River Crystal. His name is GR. Ch. Finley River Zig with a 1st place win towards Nt. Ch. Tom and I will have a stud ad out on him soon.
