You really got to call Nick. I’m not sure. He told me once, and it didn’t seem like much, but I don’t remember....sorry. I know there is a max of $5,000 coverage now though.

Males would be $350 year for $5,000

Let me try to understand this, for around $450 a year your dog dies you get $5000? Trying to understand the fine print I guess. Are all dogs available for the $5000 coverage? Most lucky to live 10 years anymore.

If you comp hunt, you can insure the hound for $5,000.00 Cost is $450.00 per year. Must be registered, of course. DNA is also required. This was my understanding.

Females are covered with a whelping clause for $510.00 a year. That covers the death of the bitch during whelping.

We do not comp hunt, only pleasure hunt, raised our hounds from a pup (breeder) and can only insure for $2100 to $2500. It does cover hunting accidents as well.

I guess this would be a short term coverage for some if you are pushing one in the woods.

They only insure a HOUND up to $5000
If you got any other breed the sky's the limit on the coverage if you can prove its value.
Crooked houndsmen ruined it for hounds.
