DNA profiling???
does the pups parents have to be profiled to get this done? how does this dna thing work? thanks
ANY dog can be DNA profiled. Thats just a matter of identifying a dog by its DNA, like identifying a person by their fingerprints, sorta.
If two dogs are bred that have been DNA profiled, then any of their pups can be DNA tested and not only identified, but verified to be out of those two parents.
ok what if neither of the parents are dna tested can a pup?
Walker Man;
You can have a pup DNA profiled, but unless the parent(s) are profiled, there is no way of knowing , through DNA, what the pup is out of. However, it has to begin somewhere, and by having a pup DNA profiled will give you positive identification of that pup, and pups out of him can be profiled and be assured they are out of him or her.
