I don't hunt walkers but When I was a kid in the 80's I had never been to a competition hunt and I remember the coonhound world worshipped Pac-man. That was all I remember hearing about as a kid. And I haven't heard of a dog that created that much stir since

Could Be!

It could be alot of different hounds it would depend on when and what you started with. I grew up listening to tales of Spring Creek Rock and House's Lipper. But I guess that I am a fan of Rat Attack. Yes, he produced alot of what we like and don't like. But the ? is not that in which they produce it is the name that is most herd. Due to ads and the computer he is known where some was never herd of. RAT ATTACK, the most popular dog ever!!!

Where are the English Dogs

The only pictures I see on here are of Walker dogs. And no doubt everyone one of those dogs have been great ones. But we gotta look around the sport some more. How about dogss Like Swamp Rooster, Geronimo, Pop-A-Top, Cabin Creek Rowdy or even good ole Smokey River. I mean come on guys let look around, an Enlgish Dog won the world.

Walkers are being talked about and pictures shown b/c this is the "most famous" coonhound/s....hard to imagine an off color dog being more famous than some of these walkers shown/mentioned

Blueticks

I do believe that the Bluetick breed was the first to COONhunt the walkers were still huntin Fox, then they cross bred the two to get the best of both worlds. The nose from the blueticks and the tree power from the walker. So I dont know about any of you guys but I think credit is due where credit is earned. All I can say is that an english Dog won the world, Again.
