Good to hear you Mo are getting together and making some noise. I hope all your guys health is doing good. Elmo are you able to hunt again? That should be a great cross smoky river, Utchman and mad dog all mixed together. The rest of Mo better look out with you three teamed up and running under one kennel name should be nothing but Davis creek dogs winning in Mo next year. Good luck and will be checking the bloodlines for your dog's winnings

These two guys are my friends and I'm just a computer guy
posting pictures of their dogs. They are old school yet and don't have the posting down yet.
Davis Creek is all Hank Tabers kennel. Terry Estill use to have the Missouri River Kennels with Kenneth Raines. Spud is from Davis Creek Bloodline Hank has had for way more years than my kennels.
Mine is different but still Uchtman x Smokey River
Spud and Slug are Hank and Terrys and deserve all the credit. I don't own a hair on Spud or Slug just trying to help promote good dogs and bloodlines that I like and learn more about others that I might add in the future.
Both Terry and Hank has hunted and kept a dog or dogs for me and have been a great help.
I've worked hard for my kennel name as well and not planning on giving up my kennel name. My health is not good but I'm not giving up breeding and promoting good dogs mine or not.

Just received a phone call from Steve Fuze from Indiana on his 6 month old female named Bell treed her first coon. The next drop she got treed with his older male dog about a mile in and she stayed hooked. She is out Spud.

Sorry I thought the way I read it you guys all joined up together. Back in my day only a few guys really had kennel names (northern blue, uchtmans, smokey river, elbert Vaughn) the rest of us were just trying hard enough to have coonhounds. The dogs sure have came along way since then. I was wondering what traits in spud helped you narrow your finale pick to him? With all the stud dogs you MO boys have around ( slug, magic, dragon, rattler, gauge, and all the mad dog and uchtman studs) I'm sure it was a hard choice. I looked at some of the peds and thought they all matched up really good with your Zip female, but I don't know how she goes in the woods. I am happy I didn't have to pick, it would have been tough. Like I said just wondering. Good luck with your pups and hopefully you get them in the hands of some hunters.

I don’t blow or brag on my dogs but Spud is flat out producing early starting big mouth track and tree dogs. My Miracle female just 7 months blowed the top out on 2 trees last night. Littermate sister is coming along good too but is in heat right now and is missing out on some hunting right now. Littermate sister in Indiana name Bell is really treeing hard too. I plan on contacting other hunters hunting littermate. Spud has crossed well on Jobe Zeb. Rebel and Smokey River females.

Have a 7 month old female name Miracle that I am really excited about. She is out of the Spud - Lucky cross and a littermate to the Belle female owned by Steve Fuhs in Indiana that he is hunting strictly by herself. Miracle split treed from the older dogs the other night and is a hard tree dog. She is just a natural. Spud just turned 8 yrs old and so far has crossed good on about every thing bred to him. His mother Lace I think is currently no. 6 on the female reproducers list. Hank Taber is planning on breeding his Sugar female to Spud when she comes in. Should be plenty of tree power in those pups.

How many pups did you all have, and are they doin good? Was this her first litter? I know it's been cold but any of you MO boys hunting?

(Hank Taber is planning on breeding his Sugar female to Spud when she comes in.) Is this the same sugar female that was around Arkansas last year that use to belong to Hank? Has she ever been bred before?

Good luck and try to keep them dogs in the woods, and under them coons.

Zip just had one female pup which is a shame because I think this cross would have been something special. But maybe this this female pup will be really special. Zip is one of the classiest belly rubbing tree dogs you will go to the woods with.

I am hearing Junior Watson is considering selling Zip. Any bluetick man that is looking for a top female I sure wouldn’t hesitate trying to get my hands on a top tree dog like Zip. She is out of Speed and he is a top sire of sure enough tree power.

Great name and l love the black and white ticked blues as well as the dark ones.
She is a looker and I bet she will make the grade at Davis Creek Kennels.
When she is in there treed deep and alone you won't care at all what color she is. The saying is everyone is the same in the dark ;-).
I got my eye on her don't let her go. Love those ears. For me her spots are in the right spot. I'd pick her in a litter of ten pups. That's just me.

This is the first black and white pup that Spud has produced that I know of. I know it is back there in Gary Utchman line of dogs. Very curious how this pup turns out. I remember you telling me Elmo when Dall Haden bred his old Diamond Jim female to Utchman Hawk that the black and white pup would pop up here and there and they would be the early starting and the hardest tree dogs.

Yes sir you are correct. Ozark Co Jim was Black and White but he through almost all dark Blue tick litters. Hank will love this pup. With Spuds go and track power and accurate tree power and Zip with track tree power there should be something to hang a hat on this fall I bet money on it. Only one pup in the litter that makes it more special. Terry we talked about the spots on the dogs and she has them.
